How to Make Money Without Much Work

If you are looking for ways to make extra money without a lot of work, try re-selling thrifted items for a profit like I did and make anywhere from $250 to $1,000 a month to start, and much more. 

I still have my Fairface Washcloths business, but wanted to make a little extra money without adding a lot of extra work to my plate.

After purchasing a re-seller guide to help me get started (*waiting for a link so I can share it with you) I opened my first shop: Fairface Vintage on Poshmark and a little later when I got more comfortable, my Ebay Store Fairface Vintage . 

I started making an extra $300-$500 a month just by reselling thrifted items and clothes hanging in my own closet. 

Because I know it works, I also know if I put more time into it, my extra income can grow substantially!

How Much Money Can You Make as a Re-seller without a lot of Time?

If you don't have much extra time, you can still make money reselling items online through sites like Poshmark and Ebay, but how much money you make really depends on a few factors:

1. How much time you put into it.

2. How much money you spend on the items you are going to resell.

3. How much demand there is for your products.

4. How much money your items are currently selling for.

When I started making money re-selling thrifted items and items I already owned on Poshmark, I made about $100 my first month, $200 my 2nd month and up from there. The more time I spent and more quality items I listed, the more I increased my sales and extra income. 

How to Start Making Money without a lot of Extra Work on Poshmark and Ebay

Start "Thrifting" in Your Own Home

To give yourself the MOST potential for PROFIT: 

• Find items to resell right from your own home and closet first. 
• Although you paid for it at some point, it will feel SO much better starting your cost of goods at $0 so every gain is profit, instead of starting out at -$40 by running out to a thrift store. 
• Tell your friends and family you're starting a Poshmark or Ebay shop and they may have some good merch to share with you. All for a zero investment from you.

Start with 1 online Re-selling Platform

Don't slow yourself down by starting on multiple platforms. Start with one and go from there or you may get so frustrated and quit before you've started. 

The easiest reselling platform to start with is Poshmark. You can re-sell your clothes, shoes, home goods and more. 

Poshmark is:

• Easy to set up 
• Easy to list 
• Easy to ship
• Easy to get paid (best of all!) 

Once you get a little experience with Poshmark, then you can head to Ebay and begin selling a few items there as well. It's a little more complicated, but once you get started it will seem like a cake walk.

Make Time to Make Money

• If you don't set time aside to make extra money, you won't. It's as simple as that. 
• Just start somewhere, even if a half hour a day is all you have. 
• You get to decide how much time you'll spend and how much extra money you want to make. 
• Create a schedule and even a small goal to hit to keep you motivated. 
• You just have to start somewhere.

Spend Less Time and Make More Money

I know I just told you that you need to make time in order to earn extra money, but if you want to make the most money with the least amount of work, with the little time you have, it's simple math. 

>If you have higher profit items to resell, your profits will also be higher, for less time spent.

Decide on your strategy. If you have 1 hour to spend, you could spend that hour listing 10 items for re-sale that can make $10 profit each, or spend a half hour listing 5 items that can make a $20 profit each.

Or better yet, list some harder-to-ship, higher profit items on places like Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace and have buyers meet you in person so you can make bigger money without putting more work into figuring out how to ship freight.
