I recall reading about a fellow etsy shop owner who decided to close her shop because she found the tax reporting part of the business way too complicated and overwhelming.
I remember thinking, "Surely it can't be that hard, can it?"
Well slap me silly and call me Shirley because it is that hard.
Well, for me anyway.
I opted to do it all myself, instead of hiring an accountant.
I attended a tax class but walked out with more questions than I went in with.
So far I've eaten 2 cadbury eggs with caramel,
a bowl full of pirates booty (ok, maybe 2. That's stuff's addictive!),
finished the laundry,
organized my receipts,
read through a bunch of forms and instructions,
and began the maze of forms and figures.
A while later I realized I may be doing something wrong so I watched a tutorial, read some more instructions,
and thought at that point I'd really figured it out.
Then I read something that may as well have said, "if you are filling this form out you're doing it wrong."
Then my head popped off.
Now I'm blogging.
Hope your tax prep is going much more smoothly than mine! Thank goodness for a few extra days this year! ♥

uh, taxes scare me. i've never done them (Except while at BYU making next to nothing, and filling out one of the easiest forms possible -- and even that was stressful and waiting until the last minute bc i wanted to avoid it for as long as possible!!!) i'm so lucky jermey always handles the taxes, because i would have a serious headache if i ever tried it myself. but yours sound even scarier!! do you have to finish them before your road trip??!?! yikes!! good luck!!
